Gail
Engblom, CPC, QPA, QKA, ERPA

With its constantly changing laws, the pension service industry requires a distinctive type of problem-solver. That is exactly why Gail Engblom has been such a valuable administrator at Alaska Pension Services. Gail is the Vice President of Operations at APS and has been with the company since 1986. Gail has earned the designations of Certified Pension Consultant (CPC,) Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), and Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) and helps manage the computer network system at APS. With over 23 years of experience in the industry, Gail has operated on the belief that no two clients are alike and each one deserves a personalized approach to their plan administration. Gail is always on the go, planning and participating in the Sports Car Club of America road rallies, and quilting when she has the time.

Jan
Holsinger, QPA

Jan Holsinger hired on with APS in 1986
and worked in the Anchorage office until 1998. At that time she moved
to Eagle, Idaho and subsequently opened up the Idaho office of APS. Jan
finds it very rewarding to help her clients
and their employees save for their future retirement. Jan has earned the
Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator
(QKA) designations. She brings
efficiency, accuracy and hard-work to the company. Her drive to succeed
and her level of energy have contributed to the success of APS. Jan
enjoys spending time with her husband, watching her daughter play
softball, and caring for her Caviliar King Charles Spaniels, Nillie and
Maddie.

Cassie
Jeremias, QKA

Cassie Jeremias joined the company in
1994 as the Receptionist. When she first started with APS, Cassie was
intrigued by the challenging nature of the industry and began
preparing to earn a designation from the American Society of Pension
Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). She has since worked her
way through the ranks as Billing Manager, Assistant Pension
Administrator & Pension Administrator. In January 2005, Cassie
was promoted to Account Executive after earning the designation of
Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from ASPPA. Cassie's
analytical thinking style serves APS well as she helps manage
the APS computer network and ensures that the company is up-to-date with new
technology. When she’s not hard at work at the office, Cassie has a
husband and two sons who keep her just as busy - camping, fishing, ATV'ing and
running their own computer business.

Julie Goodwin, QKA

Julie Goodwin joined Alaska Pension Services in January 2007. She was raised in Plainfield, WI, graduating from UW-Stevens Point in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. Before entering the world of plan administration, she spent five years working in the computer software industry. From her first experience working with retirement plans she found she enjoys the challenges that plan administration can bring and enjoys working with her clients. In January 2009, Julie was promoted to Account Executive after earning the designation of Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from ASPPA. Besides working on plan administration, she currently coordinates the document processing for all clients in our office and looks forward to furthering her education in retirement plans. Her knack for organization and enthusiasm for challenges is a valuable team asset. Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and children, quilting and being an Air Force spouse.

Shirleen
Noble, QPA, QKA

Shirleen Noble has been at Alaska
Pension Services for over twenty-one years. She was hired as the
Receptionist in 1987, became interested in the industry because of the
challenging nature of the business and moved into pension
administration in 1988. Shirleen has been certified as a Qualified
Pension Administrator (QPA) and a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA). She is currently working part time in the position of Account Support Specialist. She has enjoyed helping her clients understand the details of retirement plan
administration. Shirleen and her husband Dick came to Anchorage in 1963 and she worked as a medical technologist and in real estate with Dick. They have kept busy with 4
children and 9 grandchildren. She holds the title for “largest family”
at APS and enjoys sewing, crafts and reading.

Terry Archibald

Terry Archibald joined Alaska Pension
Services in the Spring of 2006 as a Pension Administrative Assistant. Terry has more than 20 years combined experience in the money management industry and legal field as a law firm manager, and is excited to put that experience to work in the pension administration industry. She is currently studying the first of the ASPPA Pension Administrator series of exams with plans to pursue long term advancement within ASPPA's designation programs. When she is not working, Terry enjoys spending time with her family, quiltiing, gourmet cooking, and gardening.

Suki Miller

Suki Miller joined Alaska Pension Services in January 2007,
as a Pension Administrative Assistant. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska Suki graduated from
East High School in 2000 and graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2009 with a degree in Mathematics and also Journalism and Public Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. She looks forward to studying for the ASPPA pension administrator series of exams. Suki’s high energy and love of a good challenge serves her well here at APS. Suki lives with her husband and their white boxer named Tyson. She loves spending time with her friends and family and in her free time playing soccer, video games, biking and skiing.

Briana Laundry

Briana Laundry was hired as a temp in December of 2oo6 as the front office Administrative Assistant. She joined the APS staff and eventually became the Billing Manager and has recently become an Assistant Pension Administrator and the Telecommunications Coordinator. Briana recieved her GED in April of 2006 and would like to further her education by attending college and completing the ASPPA DC exams to further her career with APS. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Briana enjoys the outdoors snowboarding, snowmachining, camping, and 4-wheeling. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends.

Julie Mayer

Julie Mayer is no stranger to APS. She has previously been the Billing Manager and Office Manager at APS (from 1997 to 2000). Julie is very task-oriented and self-motivated; combining those traits with her attention to details makes her a very efficient and effective assistant. Julie works part time in our Idaho office(s) with Jan Holsinger, but also assists other Account Executives as needed. Julie is married with two grown sons and enjoys camping, hiking, reading, animals and, most of all, spending time with her three grandchildren.
