For several years APS has collected new teddy bears and other stuffed animals for Christmas gifts for Clare House residents. We also collect "swear jar" money all year long, plus extra donations at the end of the year, and purchase groceries for Christmas breakfast for Clare House. Clare House provides temporary, emergency 24-hour shelter for women and women with children, and case management services to help women in their transition from homelessness to independent living.

A team of APS employees has participated in the Anchorage Literacy Project's Annual BIZBEE since its inception in 1991. Although we have never won the BIZBEE, we have always been serious contenders and totally committed to the mission of the Anchorage Literacy Project.
